What's trending on Google Play today
The top apps on Google Play. This is where Android users vote with installs, and new launches show up fast.
The Google Play chart is refreshing. It is back on the next update; the charts below and the full board are live now.
Reading this chart
Messaging, shopping and video apps hold the upper places on most days. The movement worth reading is lower down, where a new game, a ticket app before a big event or an AI tool can jump several places overnight.
Put this chart next to the App Store tabs on the apps page. An app climbing on both stores at once has demand that does not depend on one platform's promotion.

Questions
What drives an app up the Google Play chart?
A burst of new installs, often from a launch, an advert campaign, a feature in the store, or a news event that sends people looking for one app.
Why is the chart sometimes empty?
The Google Play feed refreshes on its own schedule. When a refresh is in progress, the page keeps its address and shows the other charts until the new list arrives.
How do I find an app?
Each app name links to a Google Play search for it.
